Curbside Addressing Service Not Required by City

The City of Dardenne Prairie has recently been informed that a group of people are currently canvassing City neighborhoods offering a curbside addressing service where house numbers are painted in four inch numbers on the curb in front of residents’ homes.   The City does not require the curbside numbers and has not authorized this group to solicit residents.  Residents are under no obligation to have this service performed.

To protect our residents, the City requires all solicitors to obtain a solicitor’s permit before canvassing any City neighborhoods.  If a solicitor comes to your door, residents should ask to see their City issued solicitor badge.  If the badge cannot be produced, residents can call the Police non-emergency line at 636-949-0809 to report the incident and a police officer will be dispatched to the neighborhood.
