Are you ready for the annual Dardenne Prairie Day celebration? This year’s event is on Saturday, Sept. 12 at City Hall Park, 2032 Hanley Road.
Come out for a fun-filled day with your friends and neighbors. Prairie Day includes craft vendors and local businesses from 12 noon – 5 pm and children’s activities from 12 pm – 6 pm. Children’s activities include inflatables, face painting, balloon artist, and sideshows. (Link: Schdedule)
FAMILY-FRIENDLY ENTERTAINMENT
There will be no shortage of unique vendor booths at the festival. In previous years, over 70 booths have been present in the festival’s vendor alley, where local merchants will display their goods from 12 pm- 5 pm. (Update: booths will be limited to 25 vendors for 2020).
The Kid Zone boasts games and activities for children of all ages from 12 pm - 6 pm. Experience inflatable bounce houses, slides and obstacle courses that are as fun as they are challenging. Also included in the area are face painters and balloon artists. The Bubble Bus will also be attendance.
Local concessions and food trucks will be available for the duration of the festival, from 12 pm - 10 pm. Enjoy a wide array of local eats and carnival-themed treats. Select food trucks will remain on festival grounds during the evening concert. (Link: Food Vendors)
DANCE THE DAY AWAYEnjoy the band Griffin and the Gargoyles on the main stage from 1 pm - 5 pm. Then from 6 pm - 11 pm, you won’t want to miss a live performance by Plastic Kings, which features the former lead vocalist and members of the band Contagious. (Link: Schdedule)
